Welcome to The Messina, an expat dive bar at the turn of the millennium. The music is loud, the crowd is tight-knit, and like any small town, it comes with both joys and strife. In a place where cultures collide, love is never simple. Next June, the doors of The Messina will open as we return with Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. This production marks Theatre Iridescence’s 10th anniversary. And so, we bring you a story that serves as a celebration of the people who’ve made our journey possible: you. Auditions, crew calls, and a connected community project are coming soon. Follow along and help us bring our community’s stories to life.

ようこそ「メッシーナ」へ。2000年前後、さまざまな文化が交わる小さなダイブバー。大音量の音楽に包まれ、顔なじみが集うと、まるで小さな町のように喜びもあればトラブルもある。異なる背景が交わるこの場所では、恋も人間関係も一筋縄ではいきません。来年6月、この「メッシーナ」の扉がふたたび開き、シェイクスピア喜劇『から騒ぎ（Much Ado About Nothing）』が新しい姿でよみがえります。

今回の公演は、シアター・イリデセンス設立10周年を記念する特別な作品。ここまで歩んでこられたのは、支えてくださった皆さまのおかげです。

HOW TO AUDITION

Our audition process emphasizes collaboration and exploration rather than cold readings, allowing both the production team and the auditioners to engage meaningfully with the material.
シアター・イリデセンスのオーディションは、「コールドリーディング（初見読み）」ではなく、協働と探求を重視したプロセスです。制作チームと応募者が、素材を通して意味のある交流と創造的な試みを行うことを目的としています。

1) BEFORE THE AUDITION DAY・オーディション前に:

1) Please fill out the following Google form（以下のGoogleフォームにご記入ください）:

2) Review the provided scene (Much Ado About Nothing, Act 3, Scene 3, part 1) through the link marked AUDITION MATERIAL below,  and the accompanying information in advance. While memorization is not required (though it is certainly preferred), you should be thoroughly familiar with the entire scene—all roles included—and have a basic understanding of the context and characters.
次に、『空騒ぎ（Much Ado About Nothing）第3幕第3場（パート1）」の台本および下記「AUDITION MATERIAL・オーディション資料」リンクの補足情報を事前に確認してください。暗記は必須ではありません（できれば望ましいです）が、登場人物全員の台詞を含むシーン全体を理解し、登場人物や状況の背景を把握しておいてください。

2) AUDITION DAY・オーディション当日:

The audition will take the form of a 2.5-hour rehearsal session. During this time, participants will engage in table work, scene rehearsal, feedback, and a short presentation segment. This process allows the production team to observe each auditioner’s approach, adaptability, and creative potential within a collaborative setting. Please note that not all participants may be cast in the production.
オーディションは約2時間半のリハーサル形式で行われます。参加者はディレクターと共に、テーブルワーク（読み合わせ）、シーンリハーサル、フィードバック、短い発表セグメントを行います。このプロセスを通して、制作チームは応募者一人ひとりのアプローチ、柔軟性、そして協働の中での創造性を観察します。

※すべての参加者がキャストとして選ばれるわけではありません。
